Yes Olive oil is healthy! Full of healthy fats and antioxidantsπŸ€—
However raw is best! The higher the heat the less nutritious.
Olive oil does not have a very high smoke point(extra virgin is best) Meaning cooking over medium to high heat will cause the oil to smoke, breakdown and release all those healthy fats and may become carcinogenic πŸ˜²
So how do I get the health benefits of this beautiful fruit?
Cook with some high smoke point oil, walnut, avocado and coconut to namea few. Most oils will say on the label which heat is best.
After cooking add your Olive oil keeping it raw.
For my vegetables I cook them with a bit of water, they will get that nutty browness from their own sugars. Then I top with a good healthy oil πŸ˜ŠπŸŒΏπŸŒΏπŸŒΏ
